These terms govern your use of daspa.com.au and the DASP lodgement service provided by Australian Registration Office Pty Ltd (ABN 58 645 964 156, Registered Tax Agent 26076969) ("we", "us", "DASPA"). Last updated: 8 July 2026.
1. The service
We provide a lodgement service: confirming your eligibility, locating superannuation held in your name (including ATO-held unclaimed super money), preparing and lodging a Departing Australia Superannuation Payment application with your super fund(s) and/or the Australian Taxation Office, and liaising with those bodies until the claim is determined. We act as your registered tax agent under the authority you grant in the claim form.
2. What we are not
We are not a financial adviser, and nothing on this site or in our correspondence is financial product advice. We do not advise on whether claiming a DASP is in your best interests (for example, if you may later become an Australian permanent resident). DASP tax rates are set by legislation and withheld by your fund or the ATO; we have no ability to vary them. The ATO provides a free DASP application system at ato.gov.au which you may use instead of our service.
3. Fees and payment
Our fee is a flat $149 plus GST where applicable (currently $163.90 including GST), payable by card at the time you submit your claim. The fee covers the whole engagement regardless of the number of funds. Your DASP itself is paid by your fund or the ATO directly to your nominated account — we never receive, hold or handle your superannuation money.
4. Refunds
Our service is offered on a “no super, no fee” basis: if we are unable to identify any claimable superannuation in your name, or we are unable to lodge your application, we will refund your fee in full. No refund is payable once your application has been lodged, or where a claim fails because information you provided was false or materially incomplete, or where you withdraw your instructions after lodgement work has begun.
5. Your obligations
You must provide true, accurate and complete information, hold (or have held) the visa status you declare, and be the person whose identity is verified. Under the Tax Agent Services Act taxpayers remain responsible for the accuracy of information supplied to their agent. You authorise us to make enquiries of the ATO, the Department of Home Affairs and your superannuation funds for the purpose of your claim.
6. Timing
Published timeframes (including the ATO's typical 28-day processing) are estimates by the relevant authorities, not promises by us. Processing can be extended by fund requirements, identity or visa mismatches, or ATO workloads. We will keep you informed of material delays.
7. Identity verification
Identity verification is performed by Didit under your separate consent given in the claim form. If verification cannot be completed we cannot lodge; the refund terms in section 4 apply.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, which may imply guarantees that cannot be excluded), our total liability in connection with the service is limited to resupply of the service or refund of the fee paid. We are not liable for decisions of the ATO, Home Affairs or any fund, for exchange rates or bank charges applied to your payment, or for loss arising from inaccurate information you provide.
9. Complaints
Complaints can be raised with us first via WhatsApp or email — most are resolved directly. As a registered tax agent, our conduct is regulated by the Tax Practitioners Board; unresolved complaints may be made to the TPB at tpb.gov.au. See our Important Information for Clients page.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page at the time you submit your claim applies to that engagement.
